दण्डों के विषय में- अपराधी इस संहिता के उपबंधों के अधीन जिन दण्डों से दण्डनीय हैं, वे ये हैं-
- (क) मृत्यु
- (ख) आजीवन कारावास
- (ग) कारावास, जो दो भांति का है, अर्थात्
(1) कठिन, अर्थात् कठोर श्रम के साथ;
(2) सादा; - (घ) सम्पति का समपहरण
- (ड) जुर्माना
- (घ) सामुदायिक सेवा।

The punishments to which offenders are liable under the provisions of this Sanhita are-
- (a) Death;
- (b) Imprisonment for life, that is to say, imprisonment for remainder of a person’s natural life;
- (c) Imprisonment, which is of two descriptions, namely:-
(1) Rigorous, that is, with hard labour;
(2) Simple; - (d) Forfeiture of property;
- (e) Fine;
- (f) Community Service.
